With every passing minute in the ongoing fifth England vs India Test, Ravindra Jadeja is making sure to make the team-management realise that dropping him for the previous games was a huge mistake.

Jadeja first impressed with the ball, picking up for crucial wickets to help India wrap up England for 332. And then he proved his worth with the bat, scoring a gritty fifty to help India recover. Jadeja had joined Hanuma Vihari on the pitch on day two when India were reeling at 160 for 7. He then added 77 runs with the debutant to help India recover.

Moeen Ali dismissed Vihari to once again peg India back. But Jadeja carried on and scored his ninth Test fifty, taking India closer to England’s first-innings total. He reached his fifty in style, dispatching Moeen Ali for a four. And as soon as the ball crossed the fence, he took out his bat brandishing as if it is a sword to start his famous celebration.

Well, the sword celebration of Jadeja is nothing new. However, there was an element of surprise during his latest celebration. Before brandishing his bat as the sword, Jadeja moved his hands over his bat as if he was dusting it. It was perhaps a reminder that his rusty bat has still not lost his edge.

Here is a clip of his celebration:
