India star Rohit Sharma has hailed his senior teammate MS Dhoni as the ‘best captain India has seen’. The India opener was lavishing praise on MS Dhoni for his cool and calm nature when he hailed him. MS Dhoni is indeed the most decorated skipper India has ever seen.

Till date, he is the only skipper to have won all the ICC events after leading India to World Cup glory in 2011 followed by the Champions Trophy title in 2013. He also led the Indian team to the pinnacle of Test cricket in 2009 in addition to winning several historic overseas series.

The former India skipper has a stunning record as captain in IPL too. He has led Chennai Super Kings to an impressive three titles as well as two titles in now-scrapped Champions League T20. No surprises then that Rohit Sharma rates his teammate so highly.

Rohit Sharma was all praise for MS Dhoni’s ability of remaining calm and cool under pressure situation. The star batsman also mentioned how Dhoni backs youngsters which help them perform well.

“Whole India knows MS Dhoni is the one who has been like that. It (remaining calm) has helped him to make such good decisions on the field. He is now the most successful Indian captain of all time, having won all the three ICC trophies and IPL titles as well. He is the best captain India has seen,” said Rohit Sharma in an interview with Curly Tales.

“Obviously there is a reason behind it and that reason is him being calm and composed under pressure situation. I have seen him handle a lot of young bowlers when they get under pressure. He just goes around and puts his arm around their neck and talks to them. When a younger member is treated like that by a senior member of the team, you obviously feel confident,” added Rohit Sharma who made his debut under MS Dhoni’s captaincy and was also promoted as an opener by the wicketkeeper-batsman.
