They say, ‘Catches win you matches’. Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey. Khan celebrated in a frustrated manner, as he banged the ball on to the turf.

Shadab Khan dived full length to his right while fielding at the mid-off position in the 18th over of Australian batting innings.

The right-hander was able to pluck on to a fine catch. In fact, the ball was well timed by the southpaw Australian batsman. Furthermore, Shadab also scalped two crucial wickets in his four overs quota. He got rid of Australian skipper Aaron Finch.

However, Pakistan overall fielding was disappointing. The Men in Green bungled as many as two catches. In fact, Finch got dropped on the very first ball he faced.

Meanwhile, Australia was able to put up a target of 184 on the board after electing to bat first. Finch and D’arcy Short were able to put together an alliance of 95 runs for the opening stand.

Short who had underfired in the series, finally came good, as he scored a fine 76 off 53 balls. Finch continued his fine form in the series going, as he scored 47 off 27 balls.

However, the Australian middle-order once again struggled to deliver the goods. Travis Head scored a quick 19 off just 11 balls.

Pakistan’s pack leader Mohammad Amir scalped three wickets. However, Pakistan didn’t have the ideal start to their chase, as they lost two wickets in the very first over.
