ICC World XI captain and Pakistan legend, Shahid Afridi has a hilarious reply to former England skipper Nasser Hussain’s question about his comeback on a cricketing field after a prolonged gap.

Meanwhile, the World XI and Windies cricket team squared off against each other to raise funds for the damaged stadiums due to Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria in September last year.

The two stadiums damaged due to the hurricanes are Ronald Webster Park and Dominica’s Windsor Park.

However, the Carlos Brathwaite-led side outplayed the World XI in the Hurricane Relief Twenty20 Challenge in London.

Windies powered their way to 199 for four banking on Evin Lewis’ powerful hitting. The southpaw struck 58 off 26 balls including five fours and sixes each.

Andre Russell (43) and Denesh Ramdin (44*) also contributed significantly to make it a daunting task for the World XI.

In reply, however, the Afridi-led side never looked in line for the chase, as they lost five wickets for 45 runs.

However, Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera tried his best to rescue his team, but it was an uphill job to do.

As a result, the ICC World XI managed to score only 127 runs against the reigning World T20 champions Windies.

Afridi’ hilarious reply:

During the match, commentator Hussain asked Afridi if he had any plans for a comeback.

Hussain couldn’t hide his laughter after asking the question. Afridi put his left hand on Hussain’s shoulder and replied that it’s the end.

Pertinently, Afridi, who represented Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (IPL) remained off-the-field following his knee injury.

No that’s it. You can see my situation with the injury,” Afridi said.

Shahid Afridi finished his illustrious international career with 11,196 runs and 541 wickets over a span of almost 20 years.
