Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is facing heavy criticism ever since the defeat against India in the ongoing World Cup. The Pakistani fans have made things miserable for the man who guided their country to the Champions Trophy glory just a couple of years ago. Sarfaraz Ahmed is facing the heat not only because of the defeat but also because of his poor physique.

The Pakistan skipper has looked out of shape in recent times. His yawning on the field at a time when India was going great guns with the bat did not help his cause either. Pakistan went on to lose that game by 89 runs and since then Sarfaraz Ahmed has faced heavy backlash. But while criticism is a part and parcel of sportsperson’s life, what Sarfaraz is facing is just disgraceful and unfortunate.

Pakistani fans have crossed the fine line between criticism and abusing as they have berated their captain in the wake of the loss to India. A video is now going viral on the social media that shows a Pakistani individual disgracefully mocking Sarfaraz Ahmed in public. What is even more shocking that the fan resorted to bad languages even though the Pakistan star was with his son.

“Bhai, bhai, aap suar jaise mote kyu ho gye hai (Translation: Brother, who have you become fat like a pig),” asked the man as Sarfaraz decided to walk away from him. The wicketkeeper-batsman showed remarkable composure and calmness as he did not respond to the heinous comment from the fan.

Here is a clip of that incident involving Sarfaraz Ahmed and the fan:

Talking about that game, Pakistan had lost it by 89 runs. Asked to bat first, India piled up a mammoth total of 336 for 5. Rohit Sharma starred with the bat, scoring 140 while KL Rahul and Virat Kohli scored 57 and 77 respectively.

In reply, Pakistan failed to provide any sort of challenge to their formidable opponents. Barring the 104-run stand between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, they never really looked in contention to chase down the total. They eventually finished on 212 for 6 in 40 overs, thus losing the game by 89 runs (DLS method).
