KL Rahul struggles in England continued as Stuart Broad castled him for a duck in the fourth England vs India Test.

KL Rahul began his tour of England on a perfect note. In the first T20I, he slammed a stunning ton to guide India to a comprehensive win. However, things have not gone down well for Rahul since then.

His highest knock since the century has been 36 which came in the third Test at Trent Bridge. In the ODIs, he scored 9 and 0 before being dropped. The poor form continued in Tests too.  In the series-opener, he scored 4 and 13.  In the second game at Lord’s, he managed 8 and 10. He looked good at Trent Bridge but threw away the starts, thus scoring 23 and 36. And his form has further deepened in the ongoing game.

In the first innings, he scored just 19. And any chances of making amends in the second innings was blown away by Stuart Broad.  Broad bowled one which was on length and the ball did not quite rise. The ball stayed very quite low and Rahul didn’t get his bat down in time. As a result, the ball passed his bat and went on to leave his stumps in mess.

Meanwhile, India need to chase 245 runs to win the game and level the series. The visitors took the remaining two England wickets quickly to bowl out the hosts for 273. England had started the day on 260 for 8 with Adil Rashid and Sam Curran.  Mohammed Shami dismissed Rashid and Broad on successive deliveries before Curran was run out.
