A recent video shows former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar incredibly predicting Imran Khan’s win in elections six years ago. The former Pakistan skipper is all set to become Pakistan’s next Prime Minister. Results released by the Election Commission of Pakistan, on Friday, showed Khan’s party won 115 seats out of 272 seats.

And even before Khan would have imagined about this day, Gavaskar had boldly predicted about it. A renowned journalist from Pakistan shared a clip on his Twitter account. The video shows Gavaskar sharing the commentary box with Pakistan’s Rameez Raja during the 2012 Asia Cup match between India and Bangladesh.

During the 39th over of the Indian innings, the conversation began.

Recall the past, Rameez said: “When we were playing there was obviously Viv Richards who used to brutalise you by hooking and pulling, then there was Mr. Gavaskar who used to neutralise the likes of Imran Khan by swaying away from the line of the ball. I fielded at short leg and Imran, every now and then, every 10 minutes came up to me and said ‘dekho yeh kaise khelta hai’.”

In reply, Gavaskar said: “Be very careful Rambo, who you are mimic on television, could be the next prime minister of Pakistan.”

And six years later, the prediction has all but become true.

Here is the clip of that conversation:

One of the greatest allrounders of all time, Khan represented Pakistan in 88 Tests, and 175 ODIs. He scored over 7,500 international runs and picked up 544 wickets.
