Much like footballers, the cricketers have also brought unique celebrations into the game more so after the advent of T20 cricket. South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi, who is currently plying his trade in the ongoing Mzansi Super League 2019 stunned the cricketing world with his magic trick celebration after picking a wicket while playing for his side Paarl Rocks.

Many cricketers, including Shamsi, has come up with unique celebrations which have made the fans crazy. The left-arm leg-spinner from South Africa recently entertained the spectators with his out of the world telephone celebration with his boots. Tabraiz Shamsi has been in the news for this kind of celebrations which adds extra excitement to the shortest format of the game.

Tabraiz Shamsi makes headlines with his unique celebration

In the video going viral, Tabraiz Shamsi was seen taking out a piece of cloth after taking a wicket. He then waves it and turns it into what looks like a ‘magic wand’ by completing his trick on the field. The incident took place in the eighth over of the match when Shamsi bowled a loopy leg-spinner to Wihab Lubbe, who danced down the tracks in a bid to clear the boundary rope. However, Lubbe failed to time the ball and skied it only for Hardus Viljoen to take a comfortable catch.

Shamsi had earlier revealed that magic is something which has always fascinated him. Tabraiz Shamsi also said that he wanted to be a magician while he was a child before shifting his focus to cricket.

“I have always been fascinated by magic and different tricks,” Shamsi had said. From the age of about 15 or 16, I wanted to become a magician as it was a hobby of mine. It wasn’t just a phase, but something that really interested me as a small child. I still love it, but cricket obviously took over after that,” he added.
