Watch: Taniya Bhatia Ends Smriti Mandhana's Fine Knock With Stunning Stumping

After managing 6 and 33 in the first two games of the ongoing Women’s T20 Challenge, Trailblazers skipper Smriti Mandhana finally delivered in the ongoing final against Supernovas.

The India star scored 68 off 49 deliveries with the help of five fours and three sixes. She gave Trailblazers a fine start by adding 71 runs with Diandra Dottin for the first wicket. She scored the bulk of the runs during the partnership as Dottin managed just 20 runs.

But once Smriti Mandhana was dismissed in the 15th over, Trailblazers’ innings derailed and they eventually ended up on a modest 118 for 8. In-form spinner Radha Yadav starred with the ball for Supernovas, taking five wickets for just 16 runs off her four overs.

Taniya Bhatia’s stumping:

Smriti Mandhana’s impressive knock came to an end in the 15th over thanks to a stunning piece of work behind the stumps by Supernovas wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia.

The left-handed batter tried to loft an outgoing delivery from Shashikala Siriwardene and danced down the track for the same. However, she failed to make any contact with the ball and before she could get back inside the crease, Taniya Bhatia had dislodged the bails in a lightning quick manner.

Talking about the game, Supernovas were on 75 for 4 at the end of the 15 overs at the time of compiling this report. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was batting on 20 while Anuja Patil was yet to open her account.
