IPL and especially Kolkata Knight Riders fans must be getting desperate to watch Tom Banton in action in this year’s tournament as the right-handed batsman continues to turn heads with his big hitting abilities. After impressing in the last edition of the Big Bash League, the right-handed batsman has started making his mark in international cricket too.

A couple of days ago, he played a stunning knock of 71 from 42 balls in the first T20I against Pakistan although the match was eventually abandoned due to rain. On Sunday, he did not score big in the second T20I but it was enough for him to showcase his stunning abilities.

The highly-rated batsman scored only 20 before being sent back by Shadab Khan. But before his departure, he played an unbelievable reverse sweep for a big six. Imad Wasim was the bowler at the receiving end. With Wasim providing little room for bit hitting, Tom Banton decided to play an outrageous shot and it paid off.

Here is a clip of that shot:

Meanwhile, England beat Pakistan by five wickets in the high-scoring encounter to take an unassailable lead in the three-match series. Captain Eoin Morgan starred with the bat to help his side chase down 196. The southpaw smashed a 33-ball 66 and Dawid Malan was 55 not out as England won with five balls to spare.

The pair put on 112 from 62 deliveries after England had lost opener Jonny Bairstow and Tom Banton in successive balls to Shadab Khan. With 18 needed England briefly stuttered, losing Morgan and Moeen Ali in the space of six balls, but Malan remained till the end to take the hosts home.
