There is no doubt about the fact that even the best can have some ordinary days. This was what actually happened with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli while playing football.

Kohli participated in a Facebook chat with comedian Abish Mathew. Later he also indulged in a game of football with the stand-up comedian.

On a cemented track, Kohli displayed his footballing skills. During the game, he was asked to take a free kick.

However, things didn’t quite turn out the way it should. On the run, Kohli tripped while attempting the kick.

The awkward landing could have gone worse for Kohli himself. Thankfully he didn’t hurt himself in the process. He was seen lying flat on the cemented track before getting up with a big smile on his face.

Mathew rushed to help him and gave his hand. Meanwhile, before the game of football, Kohli recalled a lot of memories from his childhood. He remembered an incident when he used to get scolded by some of the aunties in the colony.

Well, it was because he used to break several windows. Just like any normal locality, Virat used to get the scolding and was also reprimanded.

“When I was growing up, there was a Kansal aunty who used to be mad at me. I used to break her windows all the time,” Kohli revealed during the live chat.

Kohli said that he used to wonder why the glass was not stronger so that it won’t break in the first place.

“That was because the lane we used to play cricket in, her house was right next to where we would bat. So every time, we hit a ball with force, it used to break her window. I would be so pissed that these glasses were so fragile. Why couldn’t they make it stronger so we could play in peace? Those were good times, those were fun times,” said Virat.

Kohli is regarded as one of the modern cricketers. He has a sensational record to boast about in all three formats of the game and has scored very consistently.

The Delhi-based batsman Kohli is the front-runner to break Tendulkar’s record of most number of centuries in ODI’s.

Virat Kohli has already smashed 35 ODI centuries and is just 15 more away from breaking the “Little Master ’s record.
