The Bottle Cap Challenge has taken a firm grip on social media since the past few days, and the cricketers are not lying behind. Recently former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh came up with a brilliant version of the challenge. He also invited Brian Lara, Shikhar Dhawan, Chris Gayle and Sachin Tendulkar to take up the challenge.

The Bottle Cap Challenge reportedly originated on June 25, courtesy of Taekwondo instructor and fighter Farabi Davletchin. But it went viral after mixed martial-artist Max Holloway tried it out followed by several other celebrities. Since then, it has been trending on social media platforms with people from all spheres taking up the challenge and bringing innovations to it.

Recently, Yuvraj Singh introduced a new version of the bottle cap challenge. He opened the cap of the bottle, hitting it with a ball while playing a shot. Many few expected this version of the challenge, and instantly it went viral on social media. The all-rounder also challenged his fellow left-handed batsmen Chris Gayle, Brian Lara, and Shikhar Dhawan. But the special invitation was for batting legend Sachin Tendulkar who Yuvraj urged to take the challenge while batting left-handed.

“Here’s my version of the #bottlecapchallenge . The challenge goes out to @BrianLara @SDhawan25 @henrygayle and @sachin_rt who has to take this challenge as a left hander,” Yuvraj tweeted.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh held a press conference on June 10 (Monday) at Mumbai to announce the news of his retirement. He has brought many feathers to India playing significant roles in the 2011 and 2007 World Cups. Yuvraj scored 8,702 runs in ODIs and including a total of 52 fifties. He has also represented India in Test cricket, earning 40 caps. He last played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL earlier this year.

Yuvraj Singh will next feature for the Toronto Nationals in the Global Canada T20 and is likely to play the Euro Slam T20.
