One of the greatest opening partners of all time Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar re-united for an interview together with Vikram Sathye in a show named “What the Duck”.

The teaser of the show has been released recently. Meanwhile, flamboyant batsman Sehwag shared a picture with legendary batter Tendulkar took to his Twitter handle and wrote it is always best to be at the feet of “God Ji”.

So much so, Tendulkar is treated as a God in India. The phrase “Cricket is a religion and Sachin is a god” goes on to prove the value of the man in the cricket-crazy nation.

Sehwag and Tendulkar first batted together during the former’s debut Test against South Africa at Bloemfontein in 2001. They shared a brilliant partnership and ended up scoring magnificent centuries owing to the national fold.

The Delhi-born Sehwag looks like a photocopy of Tendulkar especially with the shots he executed through the covers.

“The Nawaj of Najafgarh” had tried to model his batting on Tendulkar and it was evident from his strokeplay.

From there on, the partnership between the duo only flourished. Tendulkar once recalled when Sehwag first came into the team, he didn’t use to talk with him much. Then Tendulkar decided to make him free as batting together requires a lot more discussions out in the middle.

It was when “The Little Master” who offered to go for a dinner with him. He asked what Sehwag prefers and he replied that he is a vegetarian.

Sehwag said he has been told by his parents that eating chicken makes you fat.

Tendulkar asked him, “Do I look fat to you?”

Tendulkar fondly recalls Sehwag started having chicken from that time onwards. The duo has been involved in several memorable partnerships.

We are all aware of the fact that Sehwag had always looked up to Tendulkar and to bat with him for such a long time would have surely made him feel at ease.

There were even few strokes which looked quite similar when the two executed.

The legendary duo of Virender Sehwag and Sachin were last seen batting together during the All Stars Series back in 2016.

It was a huge moment for the fans who had missed the duo bat together for a long time.

In the coming future, we might hope to see them bat together in some friendly or exhibition matches.
