India’s head coach Ravi Shastri has done a fine job since he has taken over the role. Shastri has his own personality and he is a kind of coach who likes to take the bull by its horns. Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri’s current contract is going to expire after the World Cup. Thus, it would be interesting to note whether the current coach will continue to serve as the head coach.

Ravi Shastri has confirmed that he likes to live in the present. Shastri said that he is no hurry to return to the commentary box. The former commentator has commentated for a long period of 23 years. Meanwhile, if India goes on to win the upcoming World Cup, Shastri’s contract is likely to be extended.

 Ravi Shastri said while talking to Cricbuzz, “I did it (broadcasting) for 23 years and can do it again for 50 more years, whenever I go back. I am in no hurry to return to the commentary box. Future is a mystery, and the past is history. I shall live in the present. The present is a present from God, so I want to enjoy it”.

Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri is often criticized for his bold statements. Shastri also gave his explanation for calling India as the best traveling side in the last 15 years.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli‘s men became the first Indian side to win the Test series on the Australian soil. Subsequently, Ravi Shastri had called the Test series win bigger than the 1983 World Cup.

Meanwhile, India is currently locking horns in the first T20I against New Zealand. India’s stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma has won the toss and decided to bowl first.

The tourists were able to clinch the ODI series by 4-1. Furthermore, they had won the ODI series against Australia by 2-1. Hence, the India National Cricket Team is in good form and they would like to continue their good show going.
