Indian Women’s Cricket Team Twenty20I skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur has come out with a heartfelt message for all the sports lover after their recent loss to Bangladesh in the Women’s Asia Cup final.

Meanwhile, this is the first time India has lost the finals in the history of seven Asia Cups. Bangladesh snatched the victory on the last ball of the match to lift their maiden trophy.

However, Indian batters struggled to put in a good total on a sluggish surface. They just managed to score 112 runs with their skipper Kaur doing the bulk of the scoring. It was because of their bowlers, India were in the game till the last over. With two runs required from the final ball, Bangladesh went away with the game with ease.

After the loss in the World Cup 2017 Final against England, Asia Cup was the biggest tournament in recent times.

The Asian giants lost just two games in the whole tournament, both the games were against Bangladesh – one in the league stage and the other one in the final.

Dejected Indian skipper came up with a long, heartfelt message on Instagram for her fans.

She said the stars were not in India’s favour in the tournament’s final. Kaur also urged the followers to continue with their support in the coming times.

Kaur emotional message

Beyond the 22 yards, the wides and the no-balls, the fours and the sixes, the ducks and the centuries, the win and the loss, lies the inevitable element of cricket – a wave of several good and bad emotions. After the determination and hard-work, one puts in on the field, being on the losing side is always a pill hard to swallow. This was a heartbreaking defeat. It was a tough journey, we all took strides yet the stars were not in our favour,” the post read.

The entire nation was hoping for us to bring the Asia cup back home for the seventh time . The team did thrive for the same . We did fight but then in cricket there is always a bad day. With all my heart I am conveying this to all of you that, I am seeking for the love and support that we have always got from our fans and followers. Continue showing your faith and trust in us . We will bring back Glory. Big thanks to all. Rab Rakha,” it added.
