Women's T20 Challenge: Full Squad of IPL Trailblazers and IPL Supernovas Revealed

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the inaugural Women’s T20 Challenge Exhibition match between IPL Trailblazers and Supernovas, preceding the Qualifier 1 game of the Playoffs at the Wankhede Stadium.
Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur have to shoulder the responsibility of leading the two sides featuring the who’s who of Women’s cricket on May 22.
In recent developments, the complete squads of the two sides were announced featuring stars from Australia, England and New Zealand.
As many as ten overseas players and 26 Indian players would participate in the one-off T20 match.
Further, India’s opener, Smriti Mandhana shall lead the likes of Danielle Hazell, Alyssa Healy, Suzie Bates and Beth Mooney.
Whereas, Harmanpreet Kaur is slated to captain the side boasting stars such as Ellyse Perry, Danielle Wyatt, Meg Lanning and Sophie Devine.

“We are excited to announce the first-of-its-kind exhibition match involving our women cricketers. Also, BCCI has been pulling out all stops to promote and nurture women’s cricket. Additionally, this is a small yet significant step towards a prospective league involving women’s stars in the future,” mentioned former Indian captain Diana Edulji.
“The IPL is the biggest and most popular league in the world. Further, it has been a long-time endeavour to have a women’s league that can match the exuberance of IPL,” said the CoA member.
