Wonder How You Whip Off Those Bails In A Flash, Says Brendon McCullum As He Congratulates MS Dhoni On 100th Stumping

Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Brendon McCullum are undoubtedly two of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen of this generation but their respective careers have not panned out in a similar manner. Both the players have performed remarkably well with the bat as well as the gloves but while Dhoni has been consistently plying his trade for the team since his debut, McCullum took a shocking retirement from international cricket at an age of 34.

And perhaps that was the reason behind McCullum being surprised to see Dhoni relentlessly plying his trade for Team India with full dedication since his debut in 2004. Dhoni recently became the first wicketkeeper to reach 100 stumpings in the One-Day Internationals when he stumped Akila Dananjaya off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal in the fifth ODI at Colombo.

The Indian wicketkeeper has been garnering praise from all over and McCullum also joined the bandwagon. The former New Zealand skipper took to Instagram to congratulate his former Chennai Super Kings teammate and also called him Super human for his remarkable consistency over the year.

“Hell of an achievement MS Dhoni! 100 Stumpings is an insane number! Still wonder how you whip off those bails in a flash especially when you have such a lot many things going on in your head. I have kept wickets for my nation for 10 years. Ended up with a broken back that will keep troubling me for the rest of my life. And then there is this man who has kept wickets all his life in all the formats that he has played in. Plus of course, he has performed the duties of being the captain and the most important batsman of his side. #SuperHuman for sure!” McCullum wrote.
