The Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) launched its first centre for the development of young budding cricketers in the capital city of India; New Delhi.
To be precise, the centre was launched during the presence of the director of the academy himself, Yusuf Pathan. It was done at the Vidhya Bharati School on Friday (May 11).
The curriculum for the coaching program in the academy has been designed by former Indian coach and Australian cricketer Greg Chappell. The academy is currently present in nine distinct Indian cities. Along with Greg, another Australia coach Cameron Tradell has designed the curriculum.
“We at CAP, are trying to create an eco-system which will benefit not only the students but also the coaches through a two-way learning process. Through this, we will be able to set the benchmark for cricket academies in India,” Yusuf said as quoted by IANS.
The academy has collaborated with the United Kingdom (UK based Cricket Technology partner-Pitch Vision.
It will help Pathan brothers to track the performances of the students in real time via a cutting-edge technology program. Moreover, it will eventually close the gap between coaches and the students in particular.

Yusuf currently busy in IPL
Yusuf is currently busy playing in the Indian Premier League for one of the franchises Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
The muscular cricketer has looked in good touch and has played some impressive knocks for his franchise in the lower middle order.
The 35-year-old Baroda-based Yusuf didn’t get an opportunity up the order which has actually worked in his favour. He has connected on several occasions and has struck some big shots in the process.
Yusuf Pathan played for Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the first three years. However, he later shifted to Kolkata Knight Riders (RR) and played there for seven-long years.
Meanwhile his younger brother, Irfan Pathan has not bagged an IPL contract this year. He was part of the Gujarat Lions (now defunct) squad in the tenth edition.
However, after an ordinary campaign, franchises overlooked Irfan for this ongoing season eleven of the cash-rich Twenty20 league.
