Out of favour India all-rounder, Yusuf Pathan in all likelihood is going to feature in the upcoming edition of the Dhaka Premier League.

Yusuf who is known to be a powerful striker of the ball will benefit from the competition given the fact the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) is nearing commencement and Yusuf would look to fire all cylinders.

As per the reports, the elder of the Pathan brothers had already received offers to take part in the Dhaka Premier League on several occasions over the past couple of weeks. However, he has to wait for NOC from the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) India for taking part in the tournament.

In the past, BCCI hasn’t been kind enough to players to let them play in other countries, but their stance has been different for 50-over List A competitions. There are high chances that Yusuf is going to play in the Dhaka Premier League.

The tournament is slated to commence from the first week of February. The final call is yet to get confirmed on the entire episode. The tournament will be a huge opportunity for Yusuf to get to his hard-hitting skills and make an impact in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League.

Yusuf is all set to go under the hammer in IPL Auctions at a base price of Rs 75 lakhs. He hasn’t been at the best of forms in the recent past, but definitely, on his day he is a force to reckon with and can decimate any star-studded bowling attack. He has been a star performer for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, and they might well go on to retain him via RTM.

Yusuf was part of the Dhaka Premier League in the year 2016 when he turned out for the Abahani Limited. He scored a quickfire 60 off 47 deliveries in his very first match for the team.
