Yuvraj Singh Posts an Emotional Tweet on World Cancer Day

One of India’s best-limited overs batsmen, Yuvraj Singh fought his way back to cricket after battling cancer.

Yuvraj was detected with a tumour in his lungs just after the triumph of 2011 World Cup. Since then, Yuvraj has been struggling to cement his place in the Indian squad.

Since his fight back from cancer, Yuvraj has set up a foundation to help cancer patients. His foundation, “YouWeCan” has raised significant funds and has helped society as a whole.

Yuvraj has also started a clothing brand with the same name “YouWeCan”. The earnings of this brand are used as charity to help cancer patients.

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Yuvraj took to Twitter and sympathised with the cancer patients. Yuvraj also urged the fans to join the battle against Cancer and help the needy.

“It’s never too late, it’s never too bad, and you’re never too old or sick to start from scratch once again. Almost 9 million people from the low-income households die from cancer every year lets join this battle against cancer and beat it together coz @YOUWECAN #WorldCancerDay.”

Yuvraj has played 304 ODI’s for India and has 8701 runs to his name with 14 centuries. He has also played 58 T20 Internationals scoring 1177 runs at an average of 28.o2.
