Yuvraj Singh’s retirement has made the fans and his teammates for two reasons. The first and the obvious reason is that the legendary batsman would never don the famous blue jersey of the Indian team again. The second one is the way Yuvraj retired. Given his unparalleled service to the nation and the game, Yuvraj deserved a fitting farewell.

However, Yuvraj did not get one as he called a press-conference in a Mumbai hotel to make the world aware of his decision to end his career.  Ever since the retirement the fans have expressed their disappointment over seeing Yuvraj walking away from the game in such a manner. While announcing his retirement, Yuvraj had revealed he was promised a retirement game in case of failing the Yo-Yo Test. However, he passed it and did not get one.

“I didn’t tell anyone in BCCI that I want a farewell game. If I had the potential, I would have left from the ground. I didn’t need a match. I was told that if I failed a Yo-Yo test then I can play a retirement match. I told them I don’t need the game, if I don’t pass the Yo-Yo test, I’ll go home quietly. I passed the Yo-Yo Test and rest is not my call,” he revealed.

Just like the fans, India star Rohit Sharma also expressed his disappointment as he said his former India and IPL teammate deserved a better send-off. Rohit took to Twitter to state his feelings, writing:

“You don’t know what you got till its gone. Love you brotherman. You deserved a better send off.”

Well, Yuvraj was quick to reply to Rohit’s tweet and his response made it crystal clear that he too is sad with the way he has walked out of the game. Not explaining much, Yuvraj wrote:

“You know how I feel inside ! Love u brothaman you go be a legend ❤️”
