Trent Boult Is A World-Class Bowler- Zaheer Khan On Mumbai Indians Latest Recruit

Zaheer Khan, the former Indian fast bowler and the 2011 World Cup-winner has exuded confidence in Mumbai Indians’ latest recruit Trent Boult, adding that the Kiwi international is a world-class bowler and he will prove to be a great asset for the Mumbai-based franchise.

Trent Boult, who has previously represented the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals in the past, was traded to the Mumbai Indians from DC ahead of the 2020 Auctions.

Zaheer Khan believes that Trent Boult’s ability to swing the ball upfront during the powerplay overs could help the defending champions grab some early wickets.

-“About Boult’s addition to the squad, aren’t you guys excited with his addition to the squad! I am sure the whole MI paltan must be excited that Boult is going to be a part of Mumbai Indians.” Zaheer Khan said during a Question-Answer with fans on Mumbai Indians official page.

“He [Trent Boult] is a fantastic bowler, world-class bowler and has got a terrific record. So we are all looking forward to him joining the squad as soon as possible and giving us those early breakthroughs which will set the tone for us.” he added.

‘The preparations are going very nicely’- Zaheer Khan on Mumbai Indians.

Zaheer Khan, the director of operations of the Mumbai Indians, also talked about his side’s preparations, adding that the four-time champions are capable of defending their title this time around.

“Well, the preparations are going very nicely. Each and every member of this MI family is looking to go out there and defend the title. We all are eagerly waiting for that first match. Right now the routines are getting pretty much finetuned and looking forward to that first game and the season.” he added.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League [IPL] will take place in the United Arab Emirates between September 19-November 10.
