Zimbabwe fast bowler Kyle Jarvis was taken for scans after he got hit on the right hand during the tri-series game against Pakistan. Jarvis was fielding at the long-on position when he tried to catch the ball.

In fact, the right-hander could not manage to hold on to the ball. However, he hurt his bowling hand in the attempted dive. The incident happened in the 14th over of the Pakistan innings when Fakhar Zaman smashed Ryan Burl to the long-on position.

Thus, the already depleted Zimbabwe side suffered another blow. It is expected that Jarvis has broken his bone and could be further ruled out.

In fact, Jarvis had scalped a wicket and had given only nine runs in his first two overs. Thus, the hosts missed his services, as they leaked 61 runs in the last five overs.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe lost the opening match by a gargantuan margin of 74 runs. Pakistan had put an above par total of 182 in their allotted twenty overs. Fakhar Zaman scored 61 off 40 balls to power his team to a good score.

Furthermore, Shoaib Malik scored an unbeaten 37 off 24 balls. During his innings, Malik became the first Pakistani and third overall batsman to score 2000 T20I runs.

In fact, the veteran batsman became the first Asian batter to get to the personal landmark. New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill are the other two batsmen to get to the milestone.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe will like to bounce back strong against Australia in the second match. The second game will be played at Harare on 2nd July.
