Bhuvneshwar Kumar:
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was named the vice-captain of the Indian side for the Sri Lanka tour and he will have a lot to offer in the side with his captaincy experience for Sunrisers Hyderabad and also as the leader of the pace attack for India. He is coming off a good series against England and will be keen to continue his success.
Bhuvneshwar did not have much impact in the IPL and was in and out of the side due to injury concerns. He has been working on his fitness and he will pick up a lot of wickets in the powerplay if gets his rhythm going. He is also one of the best death bowlers with his ability to execute yorkers despite him dropping some pace and he will be keen to get his name up in the bowling charts.
Deepak Chahar:
Chahar hasn’t had many opportunities in the last two years for India in limited-overs games and he has played just the 3 ODIs so far. But he looked brilliant in the IPL this season picking up 8 wickets in 7 games and he will be looking to make a strong statement ahead of the T20 Worldcup.
Rahul Chahar:
Rahul Chahar has been in really good form of late and has picked up plenty of wickets in the IPL this season. The leg spinner impressed in the series against England when he came as a replacement for the out-of-form Yuzvendra Chahal in the playing XI and he was on the money straight away.
Chahar hasn’t played any ODIs so far and this will be the best time for him to establish his potential. He has all the variations in the kitty and still has a long way to go in his career. A good series here might just push him above in the race for the T20 Worldcup premier spinner and he could well get the nod ahead of Chahal.
