Nitish Rana earned his maiden India call-up for the Sri Lanka tour but no one would have expected him to make his debut. He made his ODI debut in the final game against Sri Lanka and was dismissed quickly going for boundaries at the back end of the innings.
However, he had a good chance to prove his skills in the second and third T20I against Sri Lanka but was dismissed cheaply in both innings.
The left-hander has been one of the consistent performers in the Indian domestic circuit and he couldn’t match the expectations on him from the performances for KKR in the IPL. This might be the last game he played for India and he will need some big performances again to step into the Indian team.
