Punjab Kings are in need of an out-and-right fast bowler who can create havoc in the powerplay. Mohammad Amir is one of the best bowlers when it comes to powerplay and he also generates a lot of pace. He can a great prospect for the Punjab Kings to form an excellent bowling pair with the likes of Mohammad Shami.

Punjab picked up Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith in the 2021 auction and both the bowlers did not have much impact in the first few games and had to be dropped after that. Meredith made a good comeback but Punjab will most likely look to change their bowling attack which has struggled. Mohammad Amir can be a great addition to the side and Punjab will target him if he is available.

Chennai Super Kings:

Chennai Super Kings lack quality pace bowlers in their squad and Lungi Ngidi did not have the best of seasons this time. They are in need of quick bowlers who can create damage and can be game-changers with the ball. Mohammad Amir could be the best prospect for him who can be very lethal with his yorkers at the back end too.

With Bravo ageing, CSK needs a good death bowler and also who can create an impact in the powerplay. Sam Curran and Deepak Chahar have gone for plenty at the back end of the innings and they do not have the pace to threaten the likes of Pollard or a Russell. Amir will be certainly on the radar of the Chennai Super Kings.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Kolkata Knight Riders have liked pace generally and their squad boast of a lot of pace bowlers whether it’s Indian or overseas. But most of the Indian bowlers are pretty inexperienced which makes it tough for them to compete with the big names despite having the pace,

Kolkata will certainly have its eyes on someone like Mohammad Amir who can rip through the batting order and is very clever with his variations. He is an experienced T20 bowler and creates breakthroughs at the much needed times. Amir can pair up alongside Pat Cummins and it can be a deadly combination at the powerplay.
