Rajasthan Royals might be the most affected side in the IPL 2021 if their overseas players do not make it when the IPL resumes and their management will be disappointed with the fewer choices. English players have made the core of the Rajasthan Royals squad and the team has also relied a lot on them to deliver.

The new skipper Sanju Samson guided his team to three victories in the four games they played and they were looking to have got the much-needed momentum to get into the playoffs. Now they will have to restart again and it is going to be hard work if the England players aren’t available. Here are three players from Rajasthan Royals who might miss the 2nd leg.

IPL 2021: 3 Players From Rajasthan Royals (RR) Who Might Miss The 2nd Leg:

Jos Buttler:

Jos Buttler has been very consistent at the top for the Rajasthan Royals and he was one player who could change a match on its head single-handedly. Buttler is an important member of all the England squad in all three formats and certainly, the England board will want him for the international matches.

Buttler did have a good season in the IPL 2021 so far with 254 runs in 7 games and he scored his maiden IPL century this season with a brutal knock that demolished the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final game. Buttler is a 360-degree player and he makes use of the field restrictions in the powerplay completely. He can also hit the big sixes and it will be a big blow if Buttler doesn’t make it to IPL 2021 for Rajasthan Royals.

Ben Stokes:

Ben Stokes just played the one game this season and he had to leave from the tournament citing injury concerns. Stokes opened the batting in the previous season and he finished the season with a marvelous century against the Mumbai Indians. He is an important member of the Royals’ batting order.

He contributes to all three departments for the franchise and is one of the best match-winners in the game. He hasn’t come to the party in the last two to three years and the Royals would have hoped that he will be available for the remainder of the season in UAE. His international commitments for England might not allow him to do so and the Royals will miss his services.

Jofra Archer:

Jofra Archer is one of the quickest bowlers going around in the world and he has been the consistent wicket-taker for the Rajasthan Royals in their previous season in UAE. Archer missed out on this IPL due to injury concerns and he would have been a major difference to the side this year along with Chris Morris.

Archer has always been deprived of bowling partners and he had to win games on his own most of the time for the Rajasthan Royals. He is excellent with the new ball and his extra pace is a big threat to any batsman. He nails his yorkers in the death overs and does play a big role for the Royals. He is a handy batsman down the order as well and the Royals will be unlucky to miss out on him.
