Several teams have always found a way to win those T20 league trophies and the players in those squads are match-winners who will attract a lot of franchisees in the future. The knock-out stages do exert a lot of pressure and some franchises have always gone down in the final stages despite performing well in group stages.

The mindset of the team is so important to win a trophy and the winning mentality should always continue. Some teams have been able to dominate the franchise T20 leagues and here are the teams with the most trophies in each franchise T20 League.

Islamabad United(PSL) – 2

Islamabad United has won the most number of trophies in the Pakistan Super League with title wins in 2016 and 2018. They were also the inaugural champions of the league and the current skipper of the side is the young leg-spin all-rounder Shadab Khan.

The squad boasts of big names like Hasan Ali, Asif Ali alongside overseas stars like Colin Munro, Usman Khawaja. The team is owned by Leonine Global Sports while Johan Botha is the coach of the current side. Leicestershire Foxes (T20 Blast) – 3

Leicestershire  Foxes has won the most number of trophies in the T20 blast in England with three titles so far. They won the trophy for the first time in the 2004 season against the  Surrey Lions in the finals. They followed it up with another title in just two years’ time in the 2006 season against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws.

Their last trophy win in the T20 Blast came in 2011 against the Somerset side. The current captain of the side is Colin Ackermann from the Netherlands and the team has been coached by former England wicketkeeper Paul Nixon. Dhaka Platoon (BPL) – 3

Dhaka Platoon is one of the most popular teams in the world and they have won the most number of titles in the Bangladesh Premier League with three already. They have been very consistent so far and have made the playoffs in the seasons they have participated from the 2012 edition.

Dhaka Platoons won the title in 2012, 2013, and 2016 editions, and their current captain of the side is the experienced campaigner Mashrafe Mortaza. The team is owned by the Bangladesh cricket board and the coach of the side is Mohammad Salahuddin. Sydney Sixers are the current champions of the Big Bash League 2020-2021 and they successfully defended their title after winning it in the 2019 season. They are the most successful team in the Big Bash League with three titles and they were also the winners of the inaugural season in 2010.

Mumbai Indians (IPL) – 5

Mumbai Indians have been the most successful side in the Indian premier league with five titles to their name. Interestingly, their current captain Rohit Sharma has been a big part in winning the trophies and his captaincy has been outstanding in the five title-winning campaigns in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.
