Haryana Cricket Team 2025

The Haryana Cricket Team represents the state of Haryana in Indian domestic cricket. It is governed by the Haryana Cricket Association and plays its home games at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Rohtak. Haryana participates in all of India's premier competitions in domestic circuit - the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Haryana's journey in Ranji Trophy began in the 1970-71 season when it participated in the competition under the captaincy of Ravinder Chadha. The Haryana cricket team's first opponent in first-class cricket was Delhi. Haryana won its second first-class game thanks to a brilliant all-round show from their captain Chadha, who scored a century and took nine wickets too.

Two decades after the first-class debut, Haryana finally clinched its first and so far only Ranji Trophy title in 1990-91 season. They had defeated Mumbai in the final. Before that, it had qualified for the final in 1985-86 season but had lost the title-decider against Delhi.

In 1992-93 season, Haryana also played the Irani Trophy against a Rest of India team that included the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Javagal Srinath, Maninder Singh and Vinod Kambli. Haryana had gone on to win the game by four wickets. In 2023-24 season, Haryana also won its first Vijay Hazare Trophy.
