Amid Zaka Ashraf Controversy; Shoaib Akhtar Gives A Tight Slap After Pakistan's Grand Reception In India

Pakistan Cricket Team arrived in India on Wednesday and received a grand reception at the Hyderabad Airport. The fans came out in numbers to get a glimpse of Babar Azam and his men.

The fans were seen cheering for the Pak Team and the Pak players were elated after receiving such a warm reception from India. Players took to social media to share their reactions and they were happy to be arriving in India for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

This is the first time India is hosting the event completely, before this the World Cup was always jointly hosted with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan but this time India will have full responsibility for conducting the World Cup.

Pak team arrived in Hyderabad where they will face New Zealand for their first warm-up game. They were also seen in the optional practice session practicing hard for their upcoming matches in the World Cup.

Shoaib Akhtar took to Twitter to express his happiness on the Pak team receiving such a grand reception. He said that he was happy to see the reception that the Pakistan team got from India and that this is the beauty of sports.

He also mentioned that this is something everyone was missing out on for a decade. Pakistan Cricket Team has landed in India after 7 years with the last time being in 2016 during the T20 World Cup.

Pakistan Team Will Face India On 14th October

Pak will start their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on 6th October and then Sri Lanka on 10th October. The first two World Cup matches of Pak will be played in Hyderabad and then they will travel to Ahmedabad to face arch-rivals India. Most of the players in the Pak squad have never played in India so it will be challenging for them to prove themselves in these new conditions.

Pak will be looking to change their record against India in the ICC ODI World Cups where the men in blue have completely dominated them. India and Pak have clashed in seven ODI World Cup matches with India winning all of them. This will be their eighth clash in the World Cup and Pakistan will look forward to changing the scoreline to 7-1.
