The Indian Team is one of the favorites to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The India National Cricket Team has shown a lot of intent in the past few months and they will be looking to end their long drought for an ICC Trophy this time. Rohit Sharma and Co are well-prepared for any challenge that comes their way as they reach for World Cup glory.

The home advantage will play a major factor in India’s success in the World Cup. The Indian team is one of the most dangerous sides in home conditions and their recent performance in the sub-continent has been imperious, to say the least. They won the Asia Cup beating Sri Lanka in the finals one-sided, Sri Lanka was bowled out on just 50 in that match.

India also beat Australia by 2-1 in the IND Vs AUS series that too without the services of key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah in the first two games. This shows the kind of dominance India has in home conditions and how tough it is going to be for the other teams to beat the Indian side.

A Big Setback If the Indian Team Fails To Win The World Cup

According to former Pakistan pace-bowler Mohammad Amir, the Indian team should get back up and move on if they fail to win the World Cup. He feels that if they win or lose they will have to move on with it quickly as the flow of the game won’t stop and even if India loses the World Cup, the World Cup will come again.

Mohammad Amir said that the World Cup is a contest and there can only be one winner. He advised the Indian team to move on with it quickly no matter what the results are because even if they win they will have to defend it.

“You feel bad. You feel dejected. You feel frustrated and you move on. It is not that the World Cup won’t come again. It is not that you will not play again. It is a contest, it is a game. There can only be one winner. You just move on. You don’t have to hold things back. The next day, you get up, rise again, and prepare for the next big event. And if India wins the World Cup, then it is not the end. You need to rise the very next day because there will be a World Cup to defend,” said Mohammad Amir.

The Indian Team will face Australia in their first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The match will be played in Chennai and the fans will hope that India will start their World Cup campaign with a victory. The Indian team will be looking confident having beaten the Aussies in the recently concluded IND Vs AUS ODI series.
