Former Pakistan National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter Moin Khan has picked his four semi-finalists for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which is set to be hosted by India.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which is the 13th edition of the 50-over Cricket World Cup, is scheduled to be held from October 5 to November 19.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to be played across 12 different venues in India. Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Mumbai, Pune, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram are the 12 venues for matches. Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram will only host warm-up matches.

The Babar Azam & Co. have already landed in India and have started their preparations in Hyderabad. Pakistan will open their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on October 6. Ahead of that game, they will lock horns with New Zealand and Australia in warm-ups on September 29 and on October 3.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Moin Khan has predicted Pakistan, India, England, and Australia as the four semi-finalists for the upcoming World Cup.

“Out of the four, I see three: Pakistan, India, and England. The fourth team I see is Australia,” Moin predicted while speaking in an interview with Cricket Pakistan.

Moin Khan also opined that the PCB selection committee should have picked the Champions Trophy-winning captain and wicketkeeper-batter, Sarfaraz Ahmed, in the 15-man World Cup squad.

“Sarfaraz is currently playing domestic cricket and is in good form. I was hoping and expecting that he could come into the team as the second wicketkeeper-batsman. He should have been included [in World Cup squad], considering there are so many matches,” he concluded.

Notably, Pakistan selectors have only picked one wicketkeeper-batter in the 15-man squad in Mohammad Rizwan and the only other gloveman in the team is Mohammad Haris, who is a traveling reserve.
