The Pakistan National Cricket Team arrived on the Indian soil on Wednesday. This is the first time the Pakistani team is arriving In India after 2016 when the T20 World Cup was hosted on Indian soil. They will face New Zealand in their first warm-up match on 29th September and then face Australia on 3rd October for their second warm-up game. The team is looking good even though they had a forgetful Asia Cup where the Men in Green finished last in the Super 4s table.

Most of the players in Pakistan’s World Cup squad will play for the first time in India including captain Babar Azam and all of them could be seen breaking extra sweat in practice in a video released on Twitter. In the video, the Pakistani squad could be seen taking part in the optional training session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The video shows pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Mohammad Wasim Jr practicing in the nets and Babar Azam could be seen batting in the nets against spinners to prepare for the threat that spinners will pose in the World Cup.

Pakistan Will Face India On 14 October

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on 6th October. They will face arch-rivals India on 14th October at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Men in Green have never defeated India in the ICC ODI World Cup events. India have won the previous seven ICC World Cup encounters against the Men in Green and will be looking to add to that tally on 14th October.

Pakistan suffered a huge defeat against India in the Asia Cup Super 4 match where the Indian batters took on their bowling attack and then Kuldeep Yadav bamboozled their batting line-up taking a five-fer. They will be getting ready for the challenge and they will not lose even a minor chance to get revenge against India.
