Indian Pacer Sudeep Tyagi Retires from All Forms of Cricket

Sudeep Tyagi made a name for himself after picking up a ten-wicket haul in his debut Ranji Trophy. He went on to pick up 41 wickets that season to win everyone’s attention. Following his successful exploits in the domestic arena, the pacer was picked up by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for IPL 2009.

However, Tyagi had to withdraw from the season after suffering a stress fracture to the back. After the recovery, he made his T20I and ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka in 2009. Overall, he represented the Men in Blue in 3 ODIs and one T20I, picking up three wickets.

In domestic T20s, he featured in 23 games, striking out 16 times. Tyagi also played 41 first-class and 23 List A matches where he picked up 109 wickets and 31 wickets respectively. On 17th November 2020, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at the age of 33.
