As per reports, the Indian contingent has received some reinforcements in terms of two left-arm pacers in Chetan Sakariya and Mukesh Choudhary, who have joined the Men in the Blue squad in Perth, Australia ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which begins on October 16 onwards.
Indian team landed in Perth, their base ahead of the ICC event for acclimatization and for preparations as they do not play anymore international cricket until October 23rd when they face off against Pakistan in their ICC T20 World Cup 2022 opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). This means the BCCI has sent additional bowlers with the squad as net bowlers to lessen the workload on the main players of the squad.
As per PTI reports, India’s training schedule in Perth reveals that they will have three days of rigorous training for five hours between 11 am to 4 pm on October 8, 9, and 12, while on October 10 and 13, two T20 warm-up games will be held.

The report further added that in order to lessen the workload of main players, the BCCI has sent two left-arm pacers in Chennai Super Kings and Maharashtra’s left-arm seamer Mukesh Choudhary and Saurashtra’s Chetan Sakariya, who plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022, to Australia.
Sakariya and Choudhary have reportedly joined the Indian contingent in Perth as net bowlers for the T20 World Cup. It is understood that since most teams have a left-arm seamer in its ranks and India’s Arshdeep Singh will need rest between the games, Mukesh and Chetan have accompanied the team for the Perth leg of the tour.
”Mukesh and Chetan flew in with the team yesterday. As of now, they will be with the team for the Perth leg where India are supposed to play a couple of practice games,” PTI report said.
