ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Matthew Hayden Reckons That India Missed A Sixth Bowling Option Against England In The Semi-final

Matthew Hayden, Pakistan’s mentor for the T20 World Cup 2022, has thoroughly examined India’s defeat in the T20 World Cup semi-final against England.
Hayden claimed that India’s lack of a sixth bowling option cost them the semi-final game when speaking to the media prior to Pakistan’s match against England in Melbourne.
“One thing India lacked the other night was a leg-spinning option, a sixth bowling option. This Pakistan team has six genuine alternatives and a seventh if Iftikhar is needed. So, I believe I have covered all of my bases,” Matthew Hayden compared the two perspectives.
England thrashed India in the semi-finals as Jos Buttler and Alex Hales came out looking for runs from the first ball. The pair took advantage of the powerplay limits and destroyed the Indian bowling assault. England overcame India with four overs and ten wickets in Adelaide, needing 169 runs.
“We are in the big game”: Matthew Hayden
On the other hand, Pakistan made a comeback after losing their first two tournament games in a row. The group defeated New Zealand decisively in the semifinals after winning vital games against South Africa and Bangladesh to advance.
“We are in the big game. We’ve taken on board the criticisms, and we have enjoyed the successes and the failures, both. And, I think we’re ready to play,” Matthew Hayden said after reaching the finals of the tournament.
“A fantastic metaphor for this team, which has raw talent at its heart, coupled with the enthusiasm of a nation that loves the game,” Matthew Hayden continued.
Pakistan will face England on November 13th, Sunday, in Melbourne. The prospects of the match taking place are slim due to the weather prediction in Melbourne, but the ICC has set up a reserve day in case the game is rained out.
