IND vs ENG: England To Give Dawid Malan, Mark Wood Maximum Time To Make World Cup Semi-Final: Jos Buttler

As they prepare to upset India in Thursday’s Twenty20 World Cup semifinal, England will make a last-minute fitness decision about Dawid Malan and Mark Wood, as per captain Jos Buttler.

The world’s top two sides will compete at the Adelaide Oval for a spot in Sunday’s final against either Pakistan or New Zealand at the MCG.

Malan, the third batsman, and Wood, the spearhead of the English pace attack, are uncertain about their availability. Wood has bowled the tournament’s fastest ball at 154.74 kph (96.15mph).

“We’ll see how they come up.” We’re trying to give them as much time as possible “Buttler stated on Wednesday.

“Dawid was out the other day with a minor niggle, and Woody has been stiff.” We trust the medical professionals, and we also trust the two guys.”

Malan is uncertain after injuring his groin in England’s final Super 12 match against Sri Lanka, and Phil Salt could take his place.

Buttler, who teams up with Salt at county team Lancashire, encouraged him to grab the chance if it presented itself against India.

“I think he has a wonderful mindset, especially for the T20 format; he doesn’t fear anyone and wants to get on the front foot and take the game on,” Buttler stated.

“He personifies a lot of what we talk about as a team and how we expect individuals to play.”

“Certainly, if he gets a chance to play, I don’t expect to see much else from him.”

“He’s clearly not someone who is going to shy away from a challenge; I believe he will surely take it on” Jos Buttler Added.

Team India’s opponent is At the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, England was led by Jos Buttler in the second semifinal of the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2022. (November 10). With four victories from five games, Rohit Sharma’s team led Super 12 Group 2; their lone defeat came at the hands of South Africa in Perth.

On the other side, England came in second place in Super 12 Group 1 after losing to Ireland and having their match against Australia called off before a ball was even played.
