In preparation for his team’s match against India in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. Netherlands captain Scott Edwards said it is surreal that his team will be playing India at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), and the players are looking forward to it.
On Thursday, India will face the Netherlands in their Group 2, Super 12 phase match of the ICC T20 World Cup.

“It’s very big. You aspire to compete in World Cups. You are competing against probably one of the best teams in the world at one of the most renowned venues, SCG. The boys are excited about it, and it is kind of strange,” said Edwards during a pre-match press conference.

As per Scott Edwards, the Men in Blue are a high-quality unit that is focused on putting on a great success against them and taking things one match at a time.

The captain also stated that the Netherlands is concentrating on playing its own brand of cricket rather than playing like top teams like India and Australia.

Virat Kohli shone with an unbeaten 82* off 53 balls as India opened their T20 World Cup campaign with a thrilling four-wicket victory over Pakistan at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Hardik Pandya also turned in an all-around performance of 40 and 3/30. In his debut World Cup game, Arshdeep Singh also took 3/32, helping to hold Pakistan to 159/8.

On the other hand, Netherlands’ campaign got off to a close 9-run loss to Bangladesh. With two points and a victory in one game, India is in second place in Group 2. With no points and no victories in their single game, the Netherlands is at the bottom.
