Afghanistan won their first warm-up match against Bangladesh. Batting first, Ibrahim Zadran scored 46 runs off 39 balls and Mohammad Nabi smashed an unbeaten 41 runs off 17 balls to help Afghanistan score 160-7.

The Afghan bowlers were outstanding, Fazalhaq Farooqi scalped three wickets and Fareed Ahmad grabbed two wickets which helped their team get over the finish line, Afghanistan won the match by a margin of 62-run win.

Pakistan on the other hand lost their first warm-up game against England by six wickets. Star batsmen Mohammad Rizwan and skipper Babar Azam were rested for this game and Shan Masood opened the batting alongside Hider Ali.

The opening pair took them off to a blistering start, Masood scored 39 runs off 22 balls and Haider contributed with 18 of 16, but their bowlers struggled for wickets as England easily chased the target with six wickets and 38 balls remaining.

Pakistan was poor in the field, dropping several catches and putting up a dismal show in ground fielding. Shaheen Afridi who is making a comeback after injury was restricted to bowling only two overs.

The skipper and his deputy are expected to return to the side in their second warm-up game against Afghanistan today.
