Former Indian captain Virat Kohli looked impressive during the net session. Kohli is seen hitting the ball off the middle of the bat, managing the bounce on the pitch, and the sound off the bat is good, which will excite the fans.
The right-handed batsman hooked one delivery with amazing control before flicking the next off his hips. His eyes must have lit up when he pitched up the last ball in the video and creamed his cover drive to perfection.
Virat Kohli Enjoys Batting In Australia
The 33-year-old played 11 T20Is for Australia, scoring 451 runs at an astonishing average of 64.42 and a healthy strike rate of 144.55 with five fifties. Kohli won back-to-back Player of the Tournament awards in the 2014 and 2016 T20 World Cups.
It is clear that “King Kohli” is enjoying batting on the big stage and, when combined with the conditions in Australia, he is looking for a memorable tournament.
Australia will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 from October 16 to November 13. The tournament will feature 16 teams and will last for about a month. India will play arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the mega tournament at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, October 23.
