Afghanistan

Afghanistan made their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2010. Appearing in 5 editions of the T20 World Cup, just like the Bangladesh team, Afghanistan does not hold an impressive record either in the history of the T20 World Cup.

In the three most recent editions of the tournament, the team finished on 5th , 4th , and 6th positions on the points table respectively which are eventually the bottom-most slot in their group.

Still, with some team building, newly found prodigies, and the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, Afghanistan team will look forward to present tough competitions to other teams in the tournament.

Now, in the 9th edition of the tournament, Afghanistan’s Captain Rashid Khan eyes the World Cup for yet another time and looking at the Afghanistan ICC T20 World Cup team, it flickers a hope of better performances from the team in the World Cup
