Papua New Guinea attempted their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2007 but could not qualify for further rounds.

Later in 2021, the team displayed some good cricket and qualified but eventually ended up getting eliminated in the group stage finishing last on the table.

In this edition, Papua New Guinea will be looking forward to put on an even better performance and compete in the T20 World Cup to pose some competition to other teams and mark themselves as a serious participant.

With some team building, and the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, Papua New Guinea team will look forward to outshine their opponents and present some good cricket to other teams in the tournament.
