Former Australia captain Mark Waugh hailed Suryakumar Yadav after he shattered a stunning quickfire knock in IND vs AUS 2nd ODI. Mark Waugh said that Suryakumar Yadav can manipulate the field and find gaps while batting.
Suryakumar Yadav stormed unbeaten 77 runs off 37 balls during the 2nd ODI against Australia at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. The right-handed batter arrived to bat at no.6 and did a magnificent job to take the scoreboard to 399-5 in the end.
The right-handed batsman shattered 6 sixes and 6 boundaries during his knock to provide the perfect finish to the team’s batting in the death overs. He shattered 4 sixes off Cameron Green’s single over and held a massive strike rate of 194+ during his inning.

While speaking on Jio Cinema, former Australia batsman Mark Waugh said that Suryakumar Yadav is a completely unique player who can manipulate the field and find gaps.
“He is completely unique. I have never seen a player hit the ball to the areas he hits it. His real skill is to hit the ball where there is no fielder. That sounds simple, but that needs skills. He can manipulate the field and find the gaps,” Mark Waugh said.
Suryakumar Yadav, who struggled to score runs in ODIs earlier, has had his dream knocks in the two games of the ongoing IND vs AUS series. In the IND vs AUS 1st ODI, the right-handed batsman shattered a crucial half-century to help the team chase down a 277-run target.
In the 2nd ODI, the stage was set for Yadav with 10 overs to go. Showcasing his T20I style quickfire batting, Yadav did exactly what was needed at the moment.

India Crush Australia By 99 Runs In 2nd ODI
Talking about the match, India piled up a mountainous 399-5 in the 1st innings with centuries by Shreyas Iyer (105) and Shubman Gill (104). KL Rahul (52 off 38) and Suryakumar Yadav (72 off 37) also made prominent contributions with the bat.
Later, India bowled out Australia for 217, with spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja grabbing 3 wickets each. Australia was given a DLS target of 317 in 33 overs and lost by 99 runs in the end.
Shreyas Iyer, who arrived with his first wonderful knock after his comeback, was awarded the player of the match award. India has won both the opening games and already sealed the series. IND vs AUS 3rd ODI takes place on Wednesday, September 27 in Rajkot.
