Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav set the stage on fire in the second ODI against Australia at Holkar Stadium in Indore. It’s fair to say that the batter has finally cracked the ODI format as he played two completely different innings in two games. 

While it was a traditional type of innings in the first game in Mohali, it was a typical SKY special innings in the Indore. He had a good platform as he came to bat at the fag end of the innings. He did what he does in T20Is as he played a staggering cameo to take his side to the gigantic total. 

Suryakumar Yadav went from the word go and took the attack to the Australian bowlers. He played unorthodox shots and slammed the second consecutive half-century of the season. With the innings he also might have silenced all the criticism that was there related to his place in the ODI side, considering his previous outings. 

The highlight of Suryakumar Yadav’s innings came during the 44th inning when he destroyed Cameron Green. The Indian batter smashed him for four consecutive innings and put his team in the dominating position, smashing 26 runs in the over. 

Suryakumar Yadav smashed four sixes on the first four balls of Cameron Green’s overs. It seemed that he would hit six sixes because of the way he was batting. But that didn’t happen as he took a single on the fifth ball and the hopes of achieving a historic feat shattered.

Suryakumar Yadav ended with a knock of 72 runs off 37 balls. He batted with a strike rate of around 200 as he smashed 6 fours and 6 sixes in his innings. Apart from him, Shubman Gill (104), Shreyas Iyer (105), KL Rahul (52) and Ishan Kishan (31) batted well. 

Indian bowlers then bowled magnificently well with the ball as they bundled out Australia for just 217 runs to win the game by 99 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked three wickets each whereas Prasidh Krishna bagged two wickets.

As Suryakumar Yadav smashed Cameron Green for four consecutive sixes, the video of the all-rounder from IPL days has gone viral on the internet. In the clip, an Australian all-rounder can be heard saying ‘Sky is my Dad’. 

It came during the promotional event during the IPL 2023. Both Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green played for Mumbai Indians in the league. Here’s the Viral video:
