IND vs ENG: I Am Not Sure It Is A Good Decision- Sanjay Manjrekar On Hardik Pandya's Ability To Bowl 10 Overs In ODIs

Former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar thinks that forcing Hardik Pandya to bowl his full limit of 10 overs in ODI cricket is a poor decision.
Pandya has been named to India’s team for the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against England, which accompanies the continuing T20I series. If the Men in Blue require a sixth bowler, he will most likely be used.
Sanjay Manjrekar was questioned about whether he believed Hardik could finish his required 10 overs given that he’s been chosen for the ODI squad during an interview on Sports 18. He answered:
“There, I am concerned. I am not certain if it is a good decision, but if I recall correctly, he will not be traveling to the West Indies for the one-day. For an all-rounder, 50-over cricket is challenging and draining.”
“You are bowling 10 overs in just under three and a half hours, which is a lot. Additionally, if you are batting toward the end and manage to remain undefeated when batting first, then come in and deliver those 10 overs, it is physically quite taxing” Sanjay Manjrekar said.
‘He can be your batting all-rounder’: Sanjay Manjrekar
Hardik may only be used as a batting all-rounder who really can swing his arm for a few overs, Sanjay Manjrekar noted in his conclusion. He elaborated:
“In light of this, I am a little concerned if Hardik Pandya participates in 50-over cricket and is anticipated to bowl 10 overs, or perhaps he is not anticipated to bowl 10. Due to his excellent batting, he can serve as your all-around batsman and, on a good day, may contribute with five overs.”
India will look to secure the victory when they take on England in the second T20 International of the three-match series on Saturday at 7:00 PM IST at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. India won the first game very impressively.
