Sussex head coach James Kirtley said Mills is fit to play for England in the T20I series after recovering from his toe injury.

“He (Tymal Mills) has got a cut across his big toe which has had to be glued. It is healing well,” Kirtley was quoted as saying by The Argus.

“He had a bowl (on Sunday) but it wasn’t quite right to go full out. He is with England this week and he will be good to go there.

“The Sussex faithful always want to see our best players playing for Sussex but we also have to manage other expectations as well,” the Sussex coach added.

The first T20 International between England and India will be played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
