In the second T20 International match played here on Sunday, India registered 191 for six against New Zealand thanks to another brilliant century from the in-form Suryakumar Yadav. Sent in to bat first, India lost Rishabh Pant (6) early while Ishan Kishan faced 31 balls for his 36 runs at the Bay Oval.

Suryakumar continued in the same vein after a successful T20 World Cup run and hammered his way to an unbeaten 111 off only 51 balls. He scored seven sixes and eleven fours.

Suryakumar Yadav was left stranded at the non-end strikers for 111 runs as the seasoned bowler simply allowed five runs in the over while ensuring that he couldn’t get a strike and preventing him from scoring.

Lockie Ferguson took two wickets for New Zealand, while Tim Southee took three. Additionally, Ish Sodhi was able to claim a wicket. All of the bowlers had economies above 8 RPO, however, none were below that mark. The winner of this match will escape losing the 3-match series because the first T20I was rained out.
