Veteran batsman Dinesh Karthik asserted that Team India can have two or three teams with the possibilities now available. The 37-year-old is one of many athletes who have recently had the chance to play for India’s white-ball teams.
Karthik returned to the T20I team after an outstanding IPL 2022 season. On the other side, over the past several months, several young people, like Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, and Umran Malik, have made their international debuts.
A five-match T20I series between India and West Indies is presently underway. Karthik spoke honestly about the struggle for roster places before game four. He declared:
“In terms of the number of players available, the Indian squad now can field two teams or perhaps three teams. I doubt many nations can take pride in it.”
Karthik acknowledged that many players could be unlucky to be left out of the T20 World Cup, but he added that the 15 players who were chosen will have a tremendous amount of responsibility. He stated:
“Players who are on the 15 (for the T20 World Cup) should understand how significant and lovely it is to be a part of this squad and how pleased we should be to represent our country on a global scale,” said one of the players.

Based on his performances in the IPL, Karthik has been held in high regard ever since joining the national squad. The Tamil Nadu batter, though, minimized the stress.
“At this point, pressure is a privilege.” It is a given as a sportsperson when you are playing at a higher level and when people expect certain things from you.”
Karthik is expected to play in India’s fourth Twenty20 International against the West Indies on Saturday in Lauderhill (August 6).
