WI vs IND: Twitter Reacts As 2nd T20I Between India & West Indies Gets Postponed By 2 Hours For Luggage Transportation Delay

India is currently leading the 5-match T20 series against West Indies 1-0. Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik led India’s charge in the batting department before the spin bowlers dominated the West Indies batter and helped India win the game by 68 runs.

The 2nd T20I is to be played at St Kitt’s. The game was supposed to start at 8 PM IST but according to a new update by Cricket West Indies the game will now start with a delay of 2 hours.

The Delay Is Because Luggage Hasn’t Yet Arrived At St Kitt’s

Earlier there were reports that the final two T20Is of the series might not take place in the US in Florida.

This news is another logistical issue according to the host board.

A release by the CWI read, “Cricket West Indies (CWI) confirmed there will be a delay in the start of the second match in the Goldmedal T20I Cup, powered by Kent Water Purifiers T20I between West Indies and India to be played at Warner Park in St Kitts, today, 1st August.”

The statement further read, “Due to circumstances beyond CWI’s control, there have been significant delays in crucial team luggage arriving into St Kitts from Trinidad. As a result, today’s match 2nd Goldmedal T20 Cup match is due to start at 12:30 pm (11:30 am Jamaica/10 pm India). CWI regrets any inconvenience caused to our valued fans, sponsors, broadcast partners and all other stakeholders.”

The third T20I is also supposed to take place at the same venue on 2nd August.
