Sai Kishore Picks MS Dhoni's Brains During CSK Net Session

R. Sai Kishore was bought for his base price of Rs. 20 lakh by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the IPL 2020 auction in Jaipur. He, however, will have to wait indefinitely to make his debut for the Chennai franchise as the coronavirus outbreak has brought life to a standstill.

Sai Kishore, fortunately, had the opportunity to share net sessions with the franchise legend and captain MS Dhoni. He also took valuable lessons from the man, who has immense experience of the game, and spoke about it during an interview with PTI.

Having a legendary figure like MS Dhoni in the dressing room is always beneficial to the youngsters. It inspires them to bring out the best out of them. Sai Kishore picked up MS Dhoni’s brains during a net session and was benefited from it.

“The training camp was outstanding. The pace was slowly picking up with couple of matches slated to be played (among the CSK players). Personally gave me a lots of confidence and an outlook as to what to expect and ways to fine tune preparation,” Sai Kishore, 23, told PTI.

“I interacted (with the likes of Dhoni and the others) during the last day of the camp before we departed and the response I got was in simple words was very beneficial,” he added.

The IPL 2020 was deferred to April 15 from its original starting date due to the coronavirus outbreak. But as situation stands the tournament is likely not to begin from its deferred date. Although, the parent body of the lucrative tournament, is still to take a call on the cancellation of the tournament.

“Regarding the postponement there is no real thought. I feel the void. Survival is the priority in the jungle so can’t really feel bad. On the brighter side it gives me enough time to fine-tune the skill which needs some tinkering,” Kishore, who has been busy with a wedding in the family said.
